“15 For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, 16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.” (Eph 1:15–23 ESV)
Some aspects of the genius mindset include a bit of a cautionary tone around the would-be Elevated Man, Woman, versus how we literally lack confidence in our own secret backing. We must learn to lean Heavily on the unseen. We must coach ourselves back to, talk ourselves back to, a Living Faith rooted in Encounter, Experience, Stark Decisiveness.
What burdens, then, are carried by the would-be Saint in the land: too much, too hastily-forgetful, too Diabolically Opposed: we stand in stark Contrast to our interlocutors, at times, gently, simply grateful for the Occasion to Worship in community. Even though our cadence is askew, relatively-speaking; our cadence is Different (not faulty), relatively-speaking; our cadence is Elsewhere, relatively-speaking.
And to our Fathers, Mothers, to Him who dwells in unapproachable Light; a simple note of gratitude that She, He is never ashamed, never discouraged, never wearied. We learn and live into a Heights manifest and tangible, because nothing we do can injure the Godhead. The Father in heaven: He cannot be discouraged nor slandered nor patronized.
Literal fighting Spirit reigns supreme in the mindset, then, of those Chosen for holy service. We come out the gate Plucky and Encouraged, Boisterous and Copacetic, Complicit in Goodness, Antagonistic to Evil. Our bounce-factor means non-accidental Firm Handshake and Gladsome Repartee… with a would-be antagonist or differing spirit; we approach not the altar without a Gift, for the long-lost Friend, for the Other Head of State, for the bestie and side-by-side Companion.
Because Christian Witness, it is boisterous, attitudinal, it strangely becomes our Go To regarding who-all and what-all the fight is about. We believe a Man died for the sins of the world. We believe in a Spirit who comforts and guides. We believe in a Father in the sky who has firm comport alongside gentle Compassion. For His children. For each of us. No-nonsense talk completely In Tune with our highest ideals and totems: He willingly Becomes That.
Mission control, then, besets the Saint with Projects, hastily put together and completely opposed, oppressed, persecuted. Our project… we scarcely revisit old painful memories, before we Launch Forth into Today’s community of militancy, of intelligence-work, of Supreme Service to the Saints in the land. Some intended Gifts to society, these are mightily oppressed, made into a pittance and of little effect, visible only to a special Few; but we Believe, that the Intention of the Father is patiently awaiting the Repentance of another special Few, to come together, to be One Spirit, One Body, One Mind, around things holy.
