“2 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Lights in the World 12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. 14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing, 15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. 17 Even if I am to be poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrificial offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. 18 Likewise you also should be glad and rejoice with me.” (Php 2:1–18 ESV)

Questioning the Mindset Divine, dodging this way and that, looming judgment and helter-skelter Rapid Decisions: on some level we are unwearied, we are on a gentle Cruise through things Holy, we can Abide the Hour in satisfaction and Peace. Because it is unwearying to Cope. It is a Given to Pontificate, to Theologize. And if… if our missives immediately bring to mind all we forgot to say, well there is always tomorrow.

The mindset is Mysterious and Divine as to its Inexplicable Nature. It is a mindset of third-eye and Hindi extra limbs and extensions of the Man, the Woman. We may even “plug in” and debate, as to whether to write More not less, to tap into a river called God’s playland, playground and Inner Species of Mankind’s thought-life. Indeed, we have this Faith: that God on High, Father and Mother in Heaven, is judicious and cogent, is Reliable and Steadfast, is Predictable and Joy-Driven: the mother’s or father’s melodic Cheer, in their voice, in their greeting, is nothing we can dream up or invent; it is Real and Personable and Equitable. We give thanks always for such a life in Community. Because the alternative, our inner fears and projections, demons and hangups… these are healed by no Daydream but by Divine Mindset at Large, Embodied, Real People doing sacramental Real Things.

So to that “all systems go” mentalism, yes, to come in from the cold… hold it, dear Friends… we after all are Mindset Divine and coached through the maelstrom; we didn’t all told, need the Repose and Rest quite yet… we didn’t quite need to “Come in from the cold” as of yet… see us Heroically refusing the sanctuary; see us going ape-wild on a tear through the morass. See us… looming judgment… in fact, all things Forgiven. Our worst fears. Our inner regrets. Our sense that of all people, only we have these Memories Unwanted.

No, all people are sinners. More, we abide Together in Inspired Terrain, Mindset Divine. To be the man for all seasons, or the woman or man “of the hour”… it bodes Fear as to when the music shall stop. When, call us too fancy or plucky, the sentiment shifts. When, call us too ponderous and furtive, scurrying this way and that to avoid the Spotlight of Judgment, the community moves on.

We are of a community Divine, to be Frontline and Center to Tomorrow’s War, as soldier who reprise earlier eras, epochs, earlier Gestalts: what was once par for the course, now is like that blemish that falls on the rock rather than absorbed into the loving sands. Everything and all things can be turned to Hateful Suit. The experience of Love… this distinguishes some folk from others. Any story can lead to separation and forbidden nature. Of all people we have the most sanguine flavor or Taste: whom we like, people of like mind and experience as ourselves, perhaps, but People notwithstanding, who rise to meet each other in Hope and in Curiosity, in Passion for the Encounter. We love to Engage, until such time as—wearied by the social calendar—we love to Retreat. No, in all things we are Love and Patience to God who calls us. We can do it either way. We can… let us be Available for all comers.
