2023-03-21 A Prayer: No Accident

O Lord, as nothing is an accident, fulfill Your plans and purposes. See us grasp after steps and so help us to envision these steps, as a way out of the crosscurrents and sense of being out on a limb. Help us find the right amount of work, and when we are in the current so to be fulfilled and content; see that some things we forget to be thankful for, and others we panic a little too much upon encountering. Grant us always to be near to a gift, near to a spirit, near to some end of self-reliance and therein an encounter all-encompassing. So help us in our quest for holy things, to be found by them in simple ways; help us in our quest for steadiness, to be converted to a faith always new and informative; see when we rather latch on to what cannot quite fulfill, and help us to be unashamed of faith in You.

But discomfort and regret, let us know nothing of, regarding when we draw near; make us unashamed of Your Word, help us know what to boast in, and marvel as we are Creations, unique and distinctive, to our brethren and sistren. So grant us always to be willing to acknowledge You died for sins, ours included, and thereby to have the glad hand held out to our peers. Who belong.
