2023-02-16 A Prayer: Waiting

O Lord, for all who are waiting upon deliverance, we pray, as various and sundry are the allegiances shown by Man, yet unto You is guaranteed laud and honor for You save to the utmost, save soul, save spirit, save flesh. One day, it will surpass all earthly honor; bless what Spirit we have by now met; help what Father we have by now honored; laud what Son we have by now come to know. For You give courage for the world beyond. You give courage to stare squarely down those various and sundry hostiles or fearmongers. Yet we mean all this in utmost reverence and submission, helped by Your picking us out of a throng and Your calling us to labor for the future day of homecoming, be representative of You. Only in bold stance to claim to be those passed over in judgment day, elected for salvation, part of chosen host.

We pray all this in Your Name, Amen.
